The Masquerade is Finally Here...

After months of hard work, sweat, and tears, The Masquerade is finally finished. I started working on this album in October of 2009. I thought I would be done by February.

By Mid-February--I thought I would be done by May.

By the end of May---I had one song left, and I KNEW it would be done by June.

...needless to say, each time I thought the album would be complete, I got one more idea, one more beat, or one more adjustment that I wanted to make in the studio. 25 songs in total were written, 17 songs were recorded, and 12 are being presented to YOU.

ABOUT
I got a lot of inspiration for this album from the DC music scene, as well as my hometown of Detroit, my travels to Brooklyn, Austin, and Orlando this last year...and from the people around me and in my life. Considering that this is my debut album, I can confidently say that it's my best work to date, and I sincerely hope I have met any and all expectations my supporters and fans may have. I hope you all stick it out with me. . . this is just the beginning of a long road ahead.

The Masquerade will be available JULY 20TH on Itunes, Amazon, Napster and other lesser known, but still high quality music stores online. It will also be available for purchase at shows and on tours if you are still into the hard copy thing. If you ask nicely, and make a deposit into my paypal, I will also promptly mail you a copy (yes, I mean you, Aunt Nancy, cousin Kimmy, Marian, and the rest of my big fat Italian/Armenian/Lebonese/and half-polish family back in Michigan).

FEATURES
As some of you may already know-- features on the album include: (in order of appearance) Whitefolkz, Pro 'Verb, Madam Madon, Divinity, Prhyme, and K-Beta.  I specifically chose each artist for the songs that they featured on, based on their personality, talent, reliability, integrity, and attitude. Each of these MCs came to the studio like a PRO, and knocked their verses out of the park. I could not have been more thrilled and more honored to have worked with each of them. I also want to give a special "thank you" to the artists and producers whose verses and music did appear on the final tracklist. They too put in work, and gave me 100% professionlism as well. In due time, those songs will be placed on future projects.

PRODUCERS
The Producers were probably the most amazing part of the team. Each of them was professional and encouraging the whole way though. They have been such a huge support, which is why this month, they are the July Monthly Spotlight

ENGINEEERS
Last but not least, my engineers held it down for me. In and out of the studio, they were with me every step of the way. Giving their expertise and industry knowledge freely and willingly---I couldn't have done it without them. Please take some time and get to know them. They each have so much to offer new and seasoned artists. So go ahead and pick their brain like I do--they won't mind.
